Jehovah Jireh, the Lord will provide. Genesis 22:14 is where this term originates from, after Abraham is told to sacrifice Isaac, his son, but right before he does, God provides a ram to take his son's place. Abraham saw this as God's provision and proclaimed the mount as a place of provision. This was also a beautiful foretelling of the ultimate provision, God's only son to die in our place. In Jesus, God provided a way to reconcile the world to Himself (refer to 2 Corinthians 5:19). God isn't just our saviour, healer, rock and Lord, He is also our provider when we put our trust in Him! He doesn't always give us what we want, but He does give us what we need, just as any good father would.
